14 days free returns service and 90 days ‘no-quibble’ returns and cancellation
Occasionally we do get things wrong or the item you receive is not quite what you hoped. If we've made a mistake, please accept our apologies. If we could do a better job of describing the
item, please let us know via the Contact
Us form!
About returns in general:
- You can cancel undelivered orders up to the day before
despatch (the day of despatch is taken to be the day we send you an
email to confirm despatch) - after that please follow the returns policies;
- When you return an item to GetGeared, it is important to
us that you return it unused in its original condition, with
all tags attached and the item returned is protected on its journey
back with the inner and outer box we used to send it to you.
Note: Please take your parcel to the nearest Post Office - Unfortunately we cannot accept liability for items lost on
their way to us, so we recommend you send your parcel recorded delivery as ‘posting is not proof of receipt’.
You can:
1. Return items within 14 days of despatch FreePost
- If you return an item back to us within 14 days of us shipping
it to you, we’ll pay the postman! This applies to returns
for refund or exchange. For that please use the FreePost address shown
further down. But please note the exclusions stated below and the 14-day
deadline; The FreePost offer is conditional on both and we
reserve the right to charge your payment details with £20.00 to
cover administration and costs if those conditions are not met. Our
date of despatch is the date we use to make the decision by.
Note: Free returns are limited to the operating area of the Royal Mail (excludes Eire and Channel Islands).
2. Return items within 90 days of despatch - no questions asked!
- You can return any item back to us within 90 days of us shipping
it to you - no quibbles! This applies to returns for refund
or exchange. For that please use the returns address label provided
together with the delivery note. But please note the exclusions stated
below and the 90-day deadline; The refund is conditional on
both. This includes faulty goods.
We will:
- Refund your payment to the original card details
you gave us once we've given the returned items a once-over visual check,
but no later than 28 days after receipt at our customer returns centre
- providing they pass the checks! Please note the Exclusions.
- If you return an item to be exchanged for a different
item or size, we'll process your exchange free of charge and send it
to you for the cost the couriers charge to us (i.e. the price detailed
for your delivery location).
Exclusions:
We are unable to refund:
- Used items: Such items are not resalable not least because
of safety concerns. We strongly recommend you do not go out on your
bike with your new gear until you are completely satisfied that you
do not require a refund. We classify items as used if the original
hang tags are removed.
- Items damaged in transit: Sending items back in their
product packaging only is not enough; items to be returned should be
properly protected on their journey back with all the packaging we used
to send it to you, including the product packaging and the corrugated
outer box. If you send it back any other way you risk the item becoming
damaged in transit and consequently you will lose all or part of your
refund. The minimum handling charge for items not properly packaged
is £20.00.
- Special Orders: We are also unable to refund deliveries
we have made to you that were ‘special orders’ (identified
by a ‘blue bike’ on the product information page at point
of order). We may agree to take back a ‘special order’ but
you need to let us know first through the Contact
Us form with your order number and the items from the order
to be returned.
- Batteries and battery acid: Hazardous goods transport regulations make the domestic return of these goods impossible.
- The original delivery charge.
Exceptions:
If you return an item for a refund which triggered a saving or discount on your original order (for example free delivery or a saving on an associated item). The refund will be adjusted to remove the original saving or discount which no longer applies.
In a Mega Pack, we offer items together that we believe make a great
team. To make it even better, we throw in an irresistible saving. As a
result the returns and refund policy is different to regularly priced
items:
- If you return a Mega Pack for a refund please send it back
as a complete set. No partial refunds can be made and all Exclusions
apply;
- Of course you can return individual items from the Mega Pack for
exchange into a different size. All other conditions apply.
No need to phone or email us, just box
the goods up and send them back.

Please note: UK legislation requires that motorcycle helmet visors comply with EC Regulation 22.05 or British Standard BS4110:1979 (as amended). These standards currently allow visors intended for daytime use to have only a moderate tint with a minimum light transmittance of 50%. Certain tinted and mirrored visors fall below these light transmittance levels and should not be used on public roads and motorways. GetGeared expressly disclaims any liability for prosecutions that result from the use of such visors and the user is responsible for ensuring the legality of their visor.
